Spooky, Scary, Skeletons... No-Not Really!
There are many different ways to create a Halloween tablescape. Anything goes... from kid-friendly options, to spooky and scary, elegant and neutral or even just using casual paper good products! The only trick I suggest is to have fun while your creating your table and to make it BOOOOTIFUL!!!!
For my table I went with a skeleton theme.
Supplies:
Everything you'll need to recreate this look:
Black lace runner
Black lace placemats
Black plates (ceramic)
Skeleton plates (paper)
White napkins
Glassware
Gold silverware
Creepy hands (these glow in the dark)
6 Skeleton heads
Black candle holders
9 White Candles (9 dinner candles, plus 2 in the glass votives)
2 glass votives
Snake Candle holder
2 Witch hats
Setting your table:
1- I bought 3 lace runners and used one as a runner down the middle of the table. Then I took the other lace runners and I cut them and used it as place mats.
2- Next, I layered the placemats with the black plates, white napkins and skeleton plates.
3- Then, I placed the Snake candle holder on the black runner in the center of the table, followed by the 3 sets of tapered candle holders on each side of the snake. I also added 2 additional white candles (I just wanted a little extra for contrast) in between the black candle holders.
4- I placed the 6 skeleton heads on the lace table runner in between the candle holders.
5- Then I finished the table settings with the gold and white silverware and added the creepy hands to finish it off.
6- I followed this by placing the candles in the candle holders.
7- Last I hung 2 witches hats above the tablescape from my chandelier - now the look is complete!
Some of these items I had already and others were bought. My shopping suggestions are linked at the bottom of this post. ⬇️⬇️
I'm not always able to link the dollar store items - however, I will give an alternative to use. ⬇️⬇️
After playing around with the skeleton heads... lol!! This is the final version I went with ⬆️⬆️
